Are you in search of training for best practices to get the most out of your Multi-Sensory Room (MSE)? Southpaw is planning a series of one-day training sessions to help OTs, teachers, therapists, clinic owners, parents, nurses and dementia care specialists that will outline what works best in an MSE.
Linda Messbauer is one of the world’s leading experts on Multi-Sensory Environments. Linda graduated from New York University with a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She has over 30 years of experience working in the field of developmental disabilities. In 1992, she designed and established the first Snoezelen room in the United States in New York. Linda has participated and published research on the efficacy of this treatment venue. She is an international speaker and trainer on the subject of Multi-Sensory Environments. She is a founding member of the American Association of Multi-Sensory Environments.
Training will be held in our manufacturing plant in Dayton, OH. Separate one-day sessions will be held for OTs, nurses, clinic managers and other professionals; anyone working in the field of dementia care; and parents and caregivers providing for care of loved ones at home.
The cost of a session is $125.00 and includes all training materials, snacks and lunch. To register for one of the sessions, contact Tom Marshall at Tom@southpaw.com.
